This fruit goes by many names such as strawberry pear, pitaya, or pitahaya. There are two types such as one with bright red skin with green scales and the other with yellow skin and white pulp.
What does dragon fruit taste like?
Although it has an exotic look, its taste is the same as other fruits and somewhat the same taste as a kiwi and pear combined.
When it’s ripe, it has a mildly sweet flavor and under-ripe fruits have no flavor at all. They have small seeds which are edible and are like kiwi seeds as well.
